I am a problem solver, critical thinker, strategic marketer, planning master, and Michigan lover.

I specialize in working with growing organizations, helping them build a marketing and communications program that meets their current goals and supports future scaling. My specialties include marketing strategy and campaign development, audience engagement initiatives, content marketing, project management, data analysis and data-driven decision making.

Michigan is my home: I am originally from the Lake Huron town of Alpena and now live in the Lake Michigan town of Traverse City. I love to explore the area’s trails, waterways, and ski slopes, as well as read, cook, travel, and visit coffee shops and breweries.

Work Experience

  • 20Fathoms | Director of Marketing (2020-present), Project Lead - Startup Hub (2022-present)
    As the organization’s first marketing hire, I am responsible for building a marketing program to grow membership and program participation for this nonprofit startup incubator and coworking space. Key responsibilities include marketing strategy, digital communications, public relations, and content development. I am also responsible for developing new incubation programming to support early-stage entrepreneurs.

  • Munson Healthcare | Senior Strategist (2019-2020), Digital Marketing Specialist (2015-2019)
    Served as the primary resource for digital marketing strategy and implementation ensuring continuous improvement of digital content and tools. Promoted to Senior Strategist, responsible for the market research, analysis, and measurement plans to support data-driven marketing and communications initiatives across northern Michigan. Key responsibilities included research, strategy development, analytics, website management, and project management.

  • Land Conservancy of West Michigan | Communications Director (2012-2015)
    Management of all aspects of marketing and communications to promote the organization’s mission, increase awareness, and raise funds. Key responsibilities included digital communications, event planning, newsletters, media relations, fund development support, social media, copywriting, and graphic design.

  • Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge | Marketing Project Manager (2011-2012), Marketing Coordinator (2007-2011), Marketing Assistant (2005-2007)
    Seven years of progressively responsible experience developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the law firm, attorneys, and legal services. Key responsibilities included digital communications, newsletters, event planning, and copywriting.
